My name is Ayaz Chatur and I am going to give you a small glimpse of my background and Journey into the Affiliate Marketing arena. I immigrated to Canada in 1972 with my family when all Indians were asked to leave our homes in Uganda by Idi Amin with 30 day notice. We were allowed to take the equivalent of $30 and 1 suitcase of clothing with personal belongings. All other possessions had to be left behind including our property any jewellery, pets and any other material and non-material possessions. 

I was 11 years old at that time. My family was hardworking and always had very successful retail and wholesale businesses. I had that entrepreneurial spirit in my blood and trust me it never leaves you. I did the traditional things, studied hard, went to college and  had aspirations to have my own business some day.

In 1982, my brothers and I opened up a unique cigar and pipe store called Tobacco Haven in downtown Toronto. The store became very successful and was open till 2008 when my bother got sick. I was young and ambitious and wanted more so I decided to venture out on my own in 1989.

I opened up a state of the art cigar store, Groucho & Company in the swankiest part of Toronto . This store quickly became a success story beyond my wildest dreams. My clients were the who's who of the most affluent and influential people from all over the world. They ranged from, Charlie Sheen, James Woods, Bill Cosby, Danny DeVito and too many others to name. I even had Bill Clinton send secret service to pick up cigars for him when he wanted. I think Monica's cigar probably came from my store but cannot prove it. 

I was featured in Canadian Business magazine on the front cover with a full story about my business. Life was grand, I was hobnobbing with celebrities, attending gala events and partying at all hours. 

Why do I tell you all this? What is the moral of this journey? It all comes to an end when you are not in control of your destiny. When you have a brick and mortar business, no matter how successful, you don't have control of you time. Your fixed expenses are always there and as times change you have to adapt or you are out of business very fast. Automation is out of the question as your presence is required or your employees will steal you blind. 

My realty happened in 2003 when SARS hit Canada and Toronto especially hard. My customers started to disappear. Toronto was not a safe destination anymore. The world is small and my customers were in London one day and Switzerland the next day or Paris or Havana and could pick up what they wanted without having to risk their lives. 

Needless to say, it did not lake long to drain all the savings and start to see the beginning of the end. By the end of 2005, I decided enough was enough and started winding down my operation. I closed my last store in 2008. 

I then decided that I would never again be put in that situation and decided to work for a large company. This was great to have a steady income, but again no control of your time, you money is limited and you are constantly answering to someone else. There was something missing but what? I wanted that freedom to get up when I want, work when I want, do what I want and have the finances to live the lifestyle that I wanted and under my rules.

I then fast forward to 2016, where I started my journey to look for that avenue. I knew it was out there, I just needed to find it. Internet marketing I thought was the answer. It was a simple solution, have a product, send an offer, create a list and people will buy. Wow! what a novel concept! 

I quickly realized that there was so much more to it. I went from one opportunity to another, tried ecommerce, email marketing, CPA, affiliate marketing and all kinds of get rich quick schemes that you can think of. After years of failure, I mean learning experiences, I finally cracked the code. 

Affiliatesay was born. This is the vehicle that I have created to take you on a journey with me to help you achieve your dreams and goals without having to go through the trials and tribulations that I had to go through.
